Meet Robbie Blue
What do Tate McRae, Doechii, and Tinashe have in common? Their choreographer.
In this week’s Meet the Backstage, we’re introducing you to Robbie Blue, the mastermind behind Doechii’s Grammy performance, Tinashe’s Cross That Line, and Tate McRae’s latest video, Revolving Door.
Robbie Blue is the NEXT LEVEL when it comes to dance. His energy is infinite, his moves are dynamic, his style is unreal, it’s like he was born for the stage. No surprise he's danced for names like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Charli XCX.
But Robbie isn’t just a dancer: he’s a creative mastermind. As a choreographer, he’s the one behind some of the most iconic performances out there, working with artists like Doechii, Tinashe, and Tate McRae. His moves don’t just match the music: they make you feel it. Whether it’s a live performance, a music video, or anything else involving music, he knows how to create moments that stay in our minds forever.
And he’s not just working with big stars: he’s also a teacher at the Broadway Dance Center, where he runs masterclasses that are big musts if you want to bring up your dance game. His classes are intense, inspiring, and full of that raw energy that makes dance so addicting.
Oh, and did we mention he’s also in the film world? His short, Dance Dance Shimmy Celebration Extravaganza, was nominated for a World Choreography Award, proving that his creativity goes way beyond the stage.
As of right now, we’re addicted to his latest work with Tate (who’s going on tour really soon by the way), but we know that his best move is always the next one and we can’t wait to see it.
